El Paso had 47 days above 100 degrees last year, all between June and August. That’s the fourth-highest number of triple-digit days since 1900. Four of the six years with the most 100-degree days in El Paso have occurred since 2011.

August was uniquely hot last year. Nineteen of the 31 days that month topped 100 degrees, the most ever for August.
